KARACHI:

It was all glitz and glamour on Sunday evening as stars gathered for the much-anticipated 18th Lux Style Awards (LSA) 2019. The show was directed by Frieha Altaf, who has lived up to her position for 15 years consecutively.

Here are the major highlights from the extravaganza.

Momina Mustehsan's performance with a Lyari rapper

The night started with Mustehsan's dance performance. For an opening gig, let us just say the LSAs have had a history of powerhouse performances that have set the bar too high. Despite the alluring backdrop and the singer's constant efforts to prove a point with the slogan #ApnaTimeAyega and the inclusion of a rapper from Lyari, Wahab Shah's electrifying choreography did not fare well among audiences.

Atif Aslam's teaser

Yes, you read that right! When you know Atif Aslam is performing at the LSA, you expect him to set the stage ablaze with his soulful voice. The singer was only there to tease all those waiting anxiously for his performance because it only lasted for a mere few minutes.

A tribute to Shabnam

The trio of LUX girls, Saba Qamar Zaman, Meera and Maya Ali paid homage to living legend and veteran actor Shabnam through a performance choreographed by Nigah jee.

Asad Siddiqui danced alongside the Baaji actor too! The awards night actually kicked off with this segment.

The cheers from the audiences and the energy on stage made us feel like yes, now we are talking LSA. Shabnam and Nadeem coming together on one platform was all we needed to stay back at the show.

The reunion of the 'Load Wedding' pair!

The night came to a close with a performance by the Load Wedding couple. What do you expect Mehwish Hayat and Fahad Mustafa to do when they team up for a dance?

To sizzle the stage with their beyond amazing chemistry and that is exactly what the two co-stars did. The quick dress changes and the moving backdrops did not stop the stars from entertaining the audiences and giving them a performance to remember till next year.
