Addressing a conference to discuss Karachi's water woes, the chief executive of the province asked political and non-political stakeholders to find a way-forward towards its resolution.
“Water is a big issue in Karachi,” he said.
“We need at least 1000 MGD to supply whole Karachi but we only have half of it," the CM added.

He added that in the current situation, they cannot supply enough to meet daily demand. He further said that even if available water was distributed in a fair manner, everyone will "only get half a glass.”
“I urge everyone one to talk about the solution and not play the blame game, because everyone can tell their side of the story,” he added.
CM Murad added that they need to combat this issue together so that everyone gets their fair share of water.
