Princess of Wales and the Queen of Hearts, Diana was born on July 1, 1961.

From the polka dot smock she sported when leaving the hospital with newborn Prince William to her much-talked about 'Revenge Dress', the Royal's wardrobe was always in the headlines.

The people's princess was one of the few monarch's to be photographed everywhere she went. On the occasion of her 58th birth anniversary, here is a recap of Lady Di's best style moments that are making a comeback.

1. Polka dots

Diana was a fan of polka dots which was evident from the casual dresses that she flaunted every now and then. She once wore a red and white polka dot dress and teamed with a red wide-brimmed hat and pearls, at the Tea Ceremony in the grounds of Shugakuin in Kyoto, Japan.

2. The puffy sleeves

Nobody rocked the ruffles and puffy sleeves like Diana did. This year, the voluminous cut is in for a revival. It's not only in fashion but is straight-up trendy too.

3. Blazer game strong

When in doubt, wear a floppy black blazer. Diana was called the people's princess for a reason. On many days, she would dress up in casual attire, contradictory to her Royal protocol. If you are looking for some blazer inspiration, Lady Di is your go-to Royal!

4. Show them the cold shoulder

An off-the-shoulder dress is all you need to impress at a fashion soiree, party or a date night. Be it Diana's midnight blue dress or the 'Revenge Dress' as it is known now, her looks got the paparazzi talking.
