PESHAWAR: A teenager Shehryar Afridi from Khyber tribal district committed suicide when results showed that he had failed in matric examination, said the family source on Monday.

Shehryar Afridi, a resident of Zakhakhel Krapa and student of Quaid School and College, committed suicide by consuming poison when he came to know that he has been declared fail in class 10th examination.

Meanwhile, Adviser to CM on Education Ziaullah Bangash taking notice of irregular marking in SSC annual exam, has sought the enquiry report from secretary education. He has directed secretary education to investigate the matter of wrong marking in the annual examination of SSC by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Peshawar. He said after completion of enquiry, those found responsible would be punished.

BISE Peshawar had given equal marks to different students of the same school in Charsadda district during SSC exam.
