Veteran TV actor Zaheen Tahira passes away in Karachi

Iconic actor Zaheen Tahira, 79 passed away in Karachi on Tuesday.

The Khuda Ki Basti actor was admitted to a hospital in Karachi last month due to cardiac issues. She was put on a ventilator and was later shifted to the CCU.

The news of her recovering was all over the internet after celebrities took to social media, requesting everyone to pray for the Babban Khala Ki Betiyan star.

Actor Imran Abbas shared a post on Instagram saying, “The legendary actress Zaheen Tahira is admitted in Aga Khan Hospital due to a serious heart attack and she needs our prayers as she is on ventilator. Please pray for her recovery.”

Angeline Malik shared a heart touching video of Tahira singing Abhi Na Jao Chhor Kar, Ke Dil Abhi Bhara Nahi.

Besides Khuda Ki Basti and Bababan Khala ke Bettyan , her role in Zakia Akbar's long play "Hajj e Akbar" was a masterpiece and classic along besides many other charters she portrayed in various PTV plays. She is and will remain a role model for the generations to come on screen.
