Girls snatched all the top three positions in the Science and Humanities groups

ABBOTTABAD: Girls snatched all the top three positions in the Science and Humanities groups of the annual Abbottabad Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (ABISE) Secondary School Examinations.

Fatima Shakeel of the Abbottabad Tameer-e-Watan Public School and College secured the overall top position by securing 1,060 marks.

Yousra Noor of the Haripur Jinnah Jame Public School and College stood second with 1,053 marks. Sania Arif of Haripur Dawn Public School and College was third with 1,045 marks.

In the Humanities group, Shazia Bibi of the Hattar Government Girls High School stood first with 886 marks, Saima Banaras of GGHS Rajoya Havelian was second with 885 marks and Maria Aman of Pak Muslim Academy in Abbottabad was third with 881 marks. As many as 63,884 students appeared for the exams with a total pass percentage at 71.42 per cent or around 45,625 students.

The pass percentage in the science group was at 78.85 per cent, where 43,182 students appeared and 34,049 were declared as pass. In the humanities group, 20,702 students appeared of which 11,576 students were declared as passed with a total pass percentage of 55.92 per cent.
