LAHORE: US Consul General Colleen Crenwelge underscored the importance of education and encouraged strong US-Pakistan business relationships during her recent two-day visit to Faisalabad and Sargodha.

Consul General Crenwelge inaugurated a new US funded English language programme, spoke with vice chancellors and faculty at leading universities, and met with members of the business community to discuss trade and economic issues.   “Education is the cornerstone to building a successful future,” Consul General Crenwelge said.

“US government-sponsored English language programmes provide young Pakistani men and women the opportunity to create new paths to prosperity.  These programmes are a key part of our long standing partnership with Pakistan to expand access to education.”

Consul General Crenwelge also participated in summer camps for Pakistani students at the US funded Lincoln Corners in Sargodha and Faisalabad.
