Anjuman cited loneliness as her primary reason for getting married at an elderly age. She revealed she sought the permission of her three children. "Anjuman took Rs20 million as Haq Mehr, a Honda car, a two canal house and 20 plots at a housing society in Islamabad that is owned by Lucky Ali. Only close friends and family were invited to the wedding,” informed a source close to Anjuman. “There are chances that she will now work as a film producer in the future.” The insider added that Ali had been in love with Anjuman for the longest time and had been convincing her to marry him since the demise of Malik.

One of the best actors to come out of Punjabi cinema, Anjuman was at the peak of her career in the 1980s. Her on-screen pairing with famed actor Sultan Rahi was loved by audiences worldwide. The two worked in a number of super hit Punjabi films including Shair Khan, Jeedar, Chan Waryam, Asho 302 and Moti Shair among others. However, after the murder of Rahi, Anjuman’s career also took a downturn. Lucky tried his hand at acting in films such as Raaka, Billa and Dil Tote Tote Hogaya but failed miserably. Anjuman's sister Gori also appeared in multiple projects and the sisters were known for their contributions towards Punjabi cinema during the ‘Golden Days’ of Lollywood.
