Fashion roundup: 5 best looks of the week

Stars such as Mawra Hocane, Amna Ilyas and Gigi Hadid highlight this weeks summer trends you won't want to miss

KARACHI: It's that time of the week again. It's time to round up some of our favourite looks of the week from the stars as we play eye spy with the upcoming trends.

This time, it was desi celebs that served some on-point looks. We saw Zara Noor Abbas shine a light on the printed kimono jacket look which is raging this season, as well as Mawra Hocane keeping it simple yet classy in striped separates.

Hollywood stars are still cashing in on the chic business suit look, but with a twist. We are keeping an eye of fashion 'it' girl and model Gigi Hadid as she continues to ace just about everything fashion-wise.

And, if you haven't noticed, hot pink is THE colour of the season.  From Hollywood to Bollywood, we have seen some amazing ensembles to draw inspiration from for our wardrobes. Here's our fashion roundup from the celebrities.

Hot pink

There used to be a time when hot pink was considered outdated and girly - but not in a good way. You don't have to be a Barbie girl in a Barbie world to get on board with this trend, because the bright shade is seen on celebs far and wide. Check out the stylish Emily Ratajkowski rock this suit.

We also saw Bollywood star Janhvi Kapoor don a pink suit at the Grazia Millennial Awards last week and we have to say she pulled it off oh-so-well.

Let's not forget superstar singer Taylor Swift also popped up in the very bright, very pink jacket on the sets of her new music video, You Need To Calm Down.

The power suit with a twist

The power suit trend is still on everyone's fashion list but celebrities are now spicing it up with mixed patterns and styles.  American-Palestinian model Gigi Hadid once again showed us how it's done while at Paris Fashion Week in a Vincenzo Grillo printed suit.

She even made the power suit look like a wet-suit!  That's right, instead of swimming she showed us this unique take which got everyone raving.

If you're looking for something a little more subtle, check out Bollywood starlet Deepika Padukone in this flared pant suit with a stripe on the side to give just the right amount of edginess.

If you're hunting for a fresh evening piece to style up your outfit on a summers night, we love Amna Ilyas in this elegantly chic organza jacket by Sania Maskatiya.

The comfortable sandal Hollywood stars are sporting everywhere

In search of comfortable yet chic footwear for the summer? We spotted Hollywood celebrities Halle Berry, Cindy Crawford and British royal Meghan Markle sporting these 'grear' sandals' that reminded us of those Roman-style flats everyone was into like 10 years back. We especially love the look when paired with a maxi dress or skirt, because it screams feminine casual for the summer.

Striped separates

Stripes are universally flattering.  Keeping with the matching separates trend that is still on a high, Mawra shows us how to pair an ensemble for the summer.
