Indigenous plants

Letter June 24, 2019
Plants exist in environments conducive to their growth

LAHORE: We have destroyed our environment by going against nature. In attempts to beautify our urban spaces, and imitate cities of advanced countries we have spent large amounts of money on importing foreign plant species and planting them here. As exotic as it looks, we forget that messing with nature cannot benefit us in any way. We have rooted out our indigenous plant species, and replaced them with foreign species. Plants exist in environments conducive to their growth. We must revert to our native plants and flowers.
