Alvi lauds NDU for preparing civil, military leadership

Remarks came while addressing convocation ceremony for the National Security and War Course held at the NDU

RAWALPINDI: National Defence University (NDU) is playing a key role in grooming the future civil and military leadership, President Dr Arif Alvi said.

He was addressing the convocation ceremony for the National Security and War Course held at the NDU.

The president congratulated the graduating course members while acknowledging the services of the university for preparing the civil and military leaders to take on the existing and emerging challenges to the national security. The president emphasised the unique status of NDU in the academic arena of the country and highly appreciated its role in preparing the future civil-military leadership to adeptly take on the existing and emerging challenges to national security.

Separately, President Alvi met with a delegation of Royal College of Emergency Medicine (RCEM), UK, led by RCEM Dean Dr Jason Long, who called on him.

Dr Alvi said that efforts must be made for the provision of Spectrum Emergency Care provided at all level of society to make it at par with international standards to avoid harm and probable mortality.

While appreciating RCEM's partnership with Pakistani Medical Universities, he expressed gratification that RCEM was launching one-year training programme in Emergency Medicine in Rawalpindi Medical University.
