Container overturns, 4 crushed to death

Residents of the area lifted the container and rescued the people of their own accord.

KHYBER AGENCY: A container skidded and overturned onto two cars and a pickup truck, crushing to death four people and leaving one injured, Express News reported on Thursday.

The incident took place on the Pak-Afghan highway in Khyber Agency.

The accident took place near Ali Masjid located in Tehsil Jamrood. Although the accident was reported, rescue teams did not arrive at the scene. Residents of the area lifted the container and rescued those trapped underneath.

Due to the poor conditions of roads in Jamrood, a number of accidents have been reported in the area.
