Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday visited the bereaved family of deceased former Federal Minister for Narcotics Control Sardar Ali Mohammad Khan Mahar in Ghotki.

The premier expressed condolence over the death of Sardar Mahar with his brothers Ali Gohar Khan Mahar and Sardar Ali Nawaz Khan Mahar, and son Ahmed Ali Khan Mahar.

Federal minister for narcotics passes away


Prime Minister Imran was accompanied by Sindh Governor Imran Ismail and Federal Ministers Fehmida Mirza Muhammad Mian Soomro and MNA Ghaus Bakhsh Mahar.

Sardar Mahar passed away on May 21 after suffering from a cardiac arrest. He was 52.

The former minister served as the Sindh Chief Minister from 2002 to 2004 and won the general elections in 2018 from his home constituency, Khangarh as an independent candidate.

Sardar Mahar joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) after the elections.
