HYDERABAD: As the Hyderabad Police remains clueless about the murderer and cause of murder of journalist Ilyas Warsi, an FIR has been lodged at Cantt Police Station nominating an unidentified suspect. The case was lodged on Sunday evening on the complaint of Warsi’s brother, Abdul Ghani. The complainant stated that when he, along with two other friends, went to meet Warsi in his flat in Raheem Centre on Saturday evening, they found the door locked from the inside. They knocked on the door but no one responded. Later, they managed to open the door and when they entered, they found the journalist dead. Warsi’s pistol was also missing from his flat. On Wednesday, Hyderabad DIG Naeed Ahmed Shaikh along with SSP Sarfaraz Nawaz Shaikh visited the crime scene and later also held a meeting to discuss the progress of the investigation.
