Yuvraj Singh’s retirement

After almost 17 years of on and off international cricket, the man finally decided to say goodbye to it

KECH, BALOCHISTAN: The announcement of retirement by Yuvraj Singh, India’s middle-order batsman, from international cricket has surprised his fans. After almost 17 years of on and off international cricket, the man finally decided to say goodbye to it. If we take glance at his career, we see that Yuvraj was one of the hardest strikers. He hit England’s Stuart Broad for six sixes in one over in the 2007 World Twenty20 championship — making it one of the highlights of his career. His lowest point came in the World Twenty20 final of 2014 when he scored 11 runs off 21 balls and was widely blamed for India’s six-wicket loss to Sri Lanka in Dhaka. Being a fan of cricket and of Yuvraj Singh, I really appreciate his decision since he believes in giving a chance to junior players to prove themselves and take the sport further.
