
The clear weather accompanied by a little breeze made the event pleasant.
The unique activity was planned and conceived by Michel Galopin, the general manager at a private hotel in Islamabad. Diplomats enjoyed the trek to the fullest. Adamson, who spent nearly four years on assignment in the federal capital, is leaving after her term ended.
Azerbaijan embassy organises envoy’s golf cup
The Azerbaijan embassy on Sunday organised the Ambassadors’ Golf Cup in the federal capital.
The tournament was held to observe the National Salvation Day of Azerbaijan and part of the events to mark the 100th anniversary of Azerbaijan’s diplomatic service.
Diplomats from various countries deputed in Islamabad took part in the tournament. Prominent among them were envoys of Turkey, Vietnam, Brunei, India, Russian, Tajikistan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan.Federal Ombudsperson Kashmala Tariq also took part in the competition. She later distributed awards amongst the winning players.
The Azerbaijan embassy in Islamabad also hosted a reception recently to mark its national day. Similarly, the embassy in collaboration with the Aiwan-e-Sadr hosted an event for special children.
The embassy organises such events under the banner of Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s humanitarian activities.
