ISLAMABAD: Kishwar Naheed was unanimously elected as chairperson of Pakistan-India People’s Forum for Peace and Democracy (PIPFPD) Islamabad chapter on Wednesday for the year 2011-2012. The forum also elected and Ali Imran as general secretary, in its election held at SAFMA Media Centre. In the meeting Tahira Abdullah, Ashfaq Saleem Mirza, Ijaz Gul, Ayub Malik, Dr Arshad Waheed, Arshad Rizvi, Sanober Altaf, Mazhar Arif, Mian Aftab and other members also participated, said a press release issued by the Forum. The members along with other agenda items discussed the forthcoming proposed joint convention at Allahabad, India, in September.
