While many celebrated the recent arrests of former president Asif Ali Zardari, PML-N leader Hamza Shehbaz and MQM-P founder Altaf Hussain, actor Gohar Rasheed wasn't that amused.

"Both the 'kings of corruption' are in jail. Amazing. 'This is Naya Pakistan in 9 months'. Uhhhmazing," he tweeted. "Wait though, how does it matter to any of us? I want the dollar rate to come down. I want to see more employment and fair pay opportunities. I want a cleaner city/country."

He then added, "I want a far more organised traffic system. I want strict law and order. I want our cops to look like... cops. Screw everything, I want line ka paani!"

Hamza Ali Abbasi, however, begs to differ.

"Mehangaai tau harr dorr mein dekhi hai. Lekin taqatwarr ameer badmaashon ko jail jaatay howay aur unn ki cheekhain nikaltay howay pehli baar dekha hai... Altaf, Hamza aur Zardari ki jail mubarik ho," he shares, which loosely translates to, "We've seen inflation in every era. But it's a first to see influenced people behind bars."

He then added, "For all those asking "In ke giraftaar honay se humaein kiya faida?" In ko saza milay gi, in se paisa recover ho ga (NAB has recovered Rs 250+ BN already) tau economy mein paisa aye ga aur baaqi ooper power mein aanay waalay corruption kernay se ghabraayein ge... Samhaj aayee. (What good would these arrests bring to us? If they're punished, looted money would be recovered (NAB has already recovered Rs250+ bn) which would be added to our economy and men in powerful positions would think twice before corrupting the system)"

"Salam hai unn logon ko who don't see the crackdown on corruption and it's vital positive effect on the economy," Abbasi said.

This week, NAB arrested Zardari and Shehbaz while Hussain was arrested in London by Scotland Yard. MQM-P founder has been released on bail.
