Sudan crisis

It is unfortunate that people in Sudan are suffering in such a horrible way in their struggle for democracy

ISLAMABAD: It is sad to see the news coming out of Sudan and the carnage that is taking place there. According to reports from civil society groups, over a 100 people were killed as the Transitional Military Council (TMC), which is in-charge of a smooth transition to a democratically elected government — conducted a crackdown on protesters and health workers. Telecommunication services were also suspended, creating a media blackout. It is unfortunate that people in Sudan are suffering in such a horrible way in their struggle for democracy, while the rest of the world is oblivious to their plight. May they be relieved of this misery soon!
