
He added that these were also the reasons for the opposition’s recent agitation.
Sarwar spent the day of Eidul Fitr with special children and distributed gifts among them on Friday at the Fountain House. Even though he was away from his own grandkids, he said that spending Eid with these children was some consolation. “Special children deserve special care from society.”
The governor remarked that there was no greater service than serving humanity. “Pakistan is facing too many challenges. Sarwar said that despite the current financial challenges, the government will provide relief to the public in the Fiscal Year 2019-20. “One of the gravest challenges is of an economic nature and the decision of the Pakistan army to voluntarily reduce its defence budget is a manifestation of their commitment towards serving the people of Pakistan in difficult times.”
Addressing the media present on the occasion, he lauded the role of the armed forces and said they were the nation's pride. “The role of the armed forces for peace, national security and the economy is unprecedented.” He added that the public has given its mandate to Prime Minister Imran Khan for the next five years.
The governor declared that the whole nation was standing by the armed forces and supporting them in all their decisions and operations being carried out for the sake of the country.
He further said that the whole nation supported the right to self-determination of the Kashmiri and Palestinian people. He also urged the international community to play their role to highlight the plight of innocent humans falling victims.
