Nowshera locality brings festivity to Eid celebrations

PESHAWAR: If Eidul Fitr is a celebration, it should look it too. This is the idea based on which youngsters from the Saryakhel area in Nowshera district decided to decorate their neighbourhood to celebrate the religious festival in a distinct manner.

The enthusiastic youngsters collected donations from residents to give their locality a complete make-over. They painted the walls with bright colours on a self-help basis while coloured lights were added to enhance the ambience.

Moreover, balloons with Eid greetings inscribed all over them were put up to help passers-by get in the festive mood. Furthermore, they washed the entire road a day before Eidul Fitr to give the area a neat, clean and welcoming look. They also put up colourful flags and streamers to add to the entire festive outlook of the neighbourhood.

Residents of the area said that the initiative to decorate the entire area was taken by the youngsters living in the area. They added that the youngsters have made it a regular feature.
