In August last year, when Ahad Raza Mir was prepping to take on the role of Shakespeare's Hamlet, he was simultaneously  getting ready for a multi-starrer drama serial.

Mir shared he will be front-lining Humsafar writer, Farhat Ishtiaq's upcoming project. He will be cast alongside his favourite co-star, Sajal Aly.

Taking to Twitter, Ishtiaq responded to a query about her next project. "New drama serial coming soon Insha Allah," she wrote.

When asked who will be starring in it, Ishtiaq, who has written some exemplary screenplays such as Udaari, Diyar-e-Dil, Bin Roye and others, replied, "Ahad, Sajal, Adnan Siddiqui, Zarnish Khan, Mira Sethi and Masroor Paras. It's a romance thriller."

The up and coming duo became everyone’s favourites as Asfi and Zubia in the blockbuster drama Yaqeen Ka Safar. Then, Sajal and Ahad won hearts as Chammi and Jamil in star-studded period  drama Aangan.

This serial will mark their third onscreen pairing.

Speaking about his work equation with Sajal, the Parwaaz Hai Junoon actor earlier told BBC Asian Network, “I think the best part of working together is that we work the same way. We approach things the same way. We see our work the same way, so maybe that’s why people enjoy our chemistry so much.”

“I’m not scared of it (the onscreen pairing) getting exhausted, but I do fear of people capitalising on it,” Ahad remarked.

“But here’s the thing: you might get Ahad and Sajal in a drama together but you’ll get us at a very different angle. You’re not getting the same thing. So, I think with Aangan, if people are expecting Yakeen Ka Safar, they should get ready for something else.”
