Celebrities go green as Pakistan's cricket team gears up for the big day

Riz Ahmed, Iqra Aziz, Hania Aamir express excitement as Pakistan gears up to play first World Cup match on Friday

As Pakistan's cricket team gets ready for its first ICC World Cup 2019 match against West Indies on Friday, celebrities send their best wishes.


Taking to social media, many stars shared their excitement for the tournament, hoping to see the coveted trophy come home. Actors such as Hania Aamir, Asim Abbasi, Hamza Ali Abbasi and Iqra Aziz sent their heartfelt messages to the green heroes.

Apart from local stars, British-Pakistani star Riz Ahmed also extended his support to the team. The Night Of star posted a picture of himself sporting a shirt with 'Englistan' written on it. He made it clear that he would be cheering for not one but two teams. Hailing from Pakistan, Ahmed was born and raised in England, hence he's hooting for both.
