Iman Ali opens up on living with Multiple Sclerosis on World Multiple Sclerosis Day

'My speech, movements, everything is impacted,' actor wrote.

Iman Ali has opened up about living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) on World Multiple Sclerosis Day.

"Maybe some of you know already that I am living with Multiple Sclerosis. It is a part of my life now and my lifestyle has completely changed," the  Mah-e-Mir actor shared on Instagram. "My speech, movements, everything is impacted. But I am fighting on, like all the other patients who are living with this disease."

The actor shared relapses happen as well. "MS affects the nerves in the brain and the most common symptom is blurred vision," she said.  "When there is a relapse, the blurred vision is also accompanied by dizziness. So in honour of World MS Day on May 30, I am uploading a #Blurfie and urge you all to show support."

Symptoms 


Multiple sclerosis signs and symptoms may differ greatly from person to person and over the course of time, depending on the location of the affected nerve fibers. Symptoms can include numbness or weakness in one or more limbs that typically occurs on one side of your body at a time, or the legs and trunk.

Some patients also experience electric-shock sensations with certain neck movements, especially when bending the neck forward. Other symptoms include can bodily tremors, lack of coordination or unsteady gait as well.

Vision problems in MS are common, including, partial or complete blindness usually in one eye at a time and often accompanied by pain during eye movement. There may also be blurred speech, fatigue, dizziness or tingling or pain in parts of your body.
