Journalist deprived of motorcycle at gunpoint in Karachi

KARACHI: Two armed man snatched a motorcycle at gunpoint from a reporter, Muhammad Faraz Khan, outside Masoomeen Imambargah in Federal B Area on Monday, minutes before iftar. The motorcycle was a Honda CG-125 2019 Model, bearing the registration number KML 2424.

Khan, who is working for a local English newspaper, The News, informed police of the incident but no progress has been made so far to recover the motorcycle.

This incident was one among many indicating the rise in street crimes and incidents of car lifting across the city, during Ramazan.

Street crimes spike in capital’s rural areas

Not only have numerous citizens lost their valuable possessions in different incidents of street crimes but many have also been killed.

However, despite increasing incidents, law enforcement agencies have failed to curb crime in the metropolis.
