Qureshi departs for Saudi Arabia to attend OIC FM's moot
PM Imran will also attend the summit level meeting in Saudi Arabia, confirms FM Qureshi
ISLAMABAD:
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Tuesday departed for the Organisation of Islamic Countries (OIC) council of foreign ministers in Saudi Arabia.
While talking to the media before departing for the summit, FM Qureshi confirmed that Prime Minister Imran Khan will also attend the summit meeting in Saudi Arabia.
FM Qureshi said that the agenda of OIC leader's session will be finalised during the foreign ministers' meeting.
“The OIC summit holds prominence as we will discuss the prevailing situation of the Middle East,” adding that Iran’s situation which is becoming increasingly tense will also be discussed.
Pakistan will present its stance at the summit, the foreign minister stated.

“A new peace plan is being formulated, and will be discussed further at the summit.”
On the sidelines of the summit, FM Qureshi said that he will hold meetings with foreign ministers of member countries and would also meet the OIC secretary-general.
The session of Kashmir Contact Group is also expected in which the participants will share their viewpoints, the foreign minister added.
