Mayorga's lawyers track down Ronaldo's Italian address to send 'rape' summons

Meanwhile, Portuguese forward's lawyers are still trying to get the case dismissed

Kathryn Mayorga's lawyers have finally tracked down Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo's Italian address, which means he can now be served summons, reported Mirror.

The US police opened the investigation into the alleged rape of Mayorga at the hands of the Juventus star in October, and since then Mayorga's team have been hunting for the Juventus star's Italian address.

Ronaldo's lawyers have been trying to get the case dismissed and court papers claim they refused to provide the star forward's address.

Referring to the person originally hired to serve the sum­­mons, the documents allege: “Records go blank when he searches anything for Ronaldo. Property records have been blacked out.”

Mayorga, now 35, alleges that Ronaldo raped her 10 years ago in a Las Vegas hotel, but the football star has emphatically denied those claims.

Since the 34-year-old football star's address has now been located, Mayorga's team have enlisted Italy's Central Authority to deliver the summons and complaint.

The documents are expected to reach Ronaldo in a couple of weeks, after they are translated.

Earlier, a US judge allowed Mayorga and her team an extra 180 days to send the summons to Ronaldo.

Mayorga had claimed that she accepted a £295,000 “hush money” settlement "because she felt intimidated".

She later came out with the name of the alleged rapist, whose name she had earlier kept a secret which led to the shutting down of the case.
