But from the looks of it, seems like it will be quite a while before Sajal comes back to the silver screen.
Speaking to Express News, the Mom starlet said that the Pakistani film industry has enjoyed a great past but the new films are no less either. "Good and quality work will be begin the restoration and progress of the Pakistani films," she explained.
Sajal added that it is film-makers' top-priority to make films with better content than those that were made in the last two decades. She believes there has been a shift in film-making worldwide.
"Youngsters are now venturing into film-making. These fresh minds have left our neighbouring country and several others astounded with the kind of films they have been producing. Hence, in my opinion, the future of Pakistan film industry is very bright," she said.
Sajal, who made her Pakistani film debut with Feroze Khan-starrer Zindagi Kitni Haseen Hai, believes that local writers, producers, artists, techniques and directors will become the center of global attention in the next few years.
"Today, we are looking up to various other countries but soon, we will see international film-makers approaching Pakistani artists and directors for their talent," she said.
The Yakeen Ka Safar star hopes to soon make a comeback on the silver screen soon. "I am often offered films but I want to do something different. I will definitely work in films if I'm offered stronger character," she shared.
