FAISALABAD: A couple was killed while their minor son sustained injuries in a road accident in the limits of Mansoorabad police on Sunday.
Police said that Muhammad Akram, 40, along with his wife Sughran Bibi, 35 and Farhan, 10, was riding a motorcycle when a speeding car hit him on Sheikhupura Road near Abdur Rehman Hospital. Akram died on the spot while his wife and son were shifted to Allied Hospital. Later, Sughran Bibi succumbed to her injuries and the condition of the boy was stated to be critical.
Meanwhile, a minor girl Zameel Fatima died when a donkey cart hit her when she was playing outside her house in Chak No 284-GB.
Meanwhile, the body of a young man was recovered from a deserted place in the area of Batala Colony police station. Police said that some passersby spotted the body of a man believed to be in his mid-30s near Babar Chowk and informed the police. The police reached the spot and took the body into their custody which was later on sent to the mortuary for postmortem.
