Interestingly, Emilia Clarke - who played Daenerys in the super hit HBO drama - recently revealed that she drew inspiration from none other than Adolf Hitler for her speech in the finale.
For those who are yet to watch the episode, Daenerys gives a speech to the Dothraki and the Unsullied after she burning thousands of innocents in a fit of rage in King's Landing, all in the hopes of claiming the Iron Throne. The scene completed her transition into the 'Mad Queen' everyone had been fearing she would become.

But what was really amazing is how Emilia delivered the poignant speech in Dothraki - a fictional language. The British starlet recalled how nervous she was before shooting for it, adding that learning the speech "almost killed her" as she was worried of messing it up.
No 'Game of Thrones' sequels in the works: HBO
In fact, Emilia apparently did not get any sleep the night before as she realised that this particular scene would be "the most solidifying, integral moment for Daenerys as a character."

The actor also revealed the speech was shot with just a green screen and her dialect coach was within spitting distance. Luckily, she got through the whole thing perfectly - on the first go, after taking watching videos of Hitler addressing the public during his time in the German government.
"You absolutely can understand what Hitler’s saying, these single-focus orators speaking a foreign language. So I thought, 'If I can believe every single word I’m saying, the audience won’t need to be looking at the subtitles too much," Emilia told Variety.

But even though Emilia did the character of Daenerys complete justice with her epic performance in the last few episodes, the outcome had Game of Thrones fans divided. Some, albeit fewer in number, seemed to love the level of badness the silver-haired queen had succumbed to.
Call it on-the-nose if you must, but this shot of Emilia Clarke walking forward as a dragon's wings seem to suddenly spread from her back is some Kubrick-level badassery. #GameOfThrones #GameOfThronesFinale pic.twitter.com/8ttWroSFHo

Most, however, were sorely disappointed with their favourite going full Mad Queen.

But all in all, we cannot deny we're going to miss seeing Emilia as Daenerys of House Targaryen, the First of Her Name, The Unburnt, Queen of the Andals, the Rhoynar and the First Men, Queen of Meereen, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Protector of the Realm, Lady Regent of the Seven Kingdoms, Breaker of Chains and Mother of Dragons...
