BAHAWALPUR: Regional Police Officer (RPO) Imran Mehmood on Thursday directed all the three district police officers to beef up security for Yaum-e-Shahadat-e-Ali to avert any untoward situation.

He issued the directives while presiding over a meeting to review security arrangements for Yaum-e-Shahadat-e-Ali at his office. He said fool-proof security would be provided to Majalis and processions on Ramazan 21.

Four-tier security to be provided to Majalis and processions placed in category-A, he added.

He directed the officers to keep a check on members of the banned outfits and people placed in the fourth schedule. All the vehicles must be parked 300 metres away from the site of Majalis and processions.

He also instructed to scan the routes and sites of processions and Majalis.
