Standard Operating Procedure: Uniform mandatory, FIA staff told

LAHORE: All executive and operational officials of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) have been directed to wear uniforms while on duty or conducting raids. FIA Director-General Tehsin Anwar Ali Shah issued the order after it was brought to his attention that officers and officials of various FIA wings, including the agency’s headquarters, were not wearing uniforms. A circular has been issued by the headquarters. However, employees who have been deputed to the FIA, other than police and regular members, are not authorised to wear a uniform. According to the circular the officials, from a constable to an inspector, who are serving in the FIA Headquarters Islamabad are bound to wear uniforms.
