AJK elections: PPP’s win reflects people’s trust, says PM

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani on Monday said that PPP’s victory in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir elections reflects that the people have confidence in the commitment of the Pakistan Peoples’ Party for the cause of Kashmiri people. The party, he said, would continue with its policy of reconciliation and like to take along other parties for the larger interest of the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The prime minister, who is also the senior vice president of the PPP, was talking to Syed Khursheed Ahmad Shah, Minister for Religious Affairs, Mian Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo, Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan and Faryal Talpur, MNA and President of PPP Women Wing at the Prime Minister’s House. Gilani said that PPP is a federal party and a symbol of unity of the country.
