Animals and insects should be allowed to live their short life freely
TURBAT: Animals play a vital role in our ecosystem. Some research studies even state that human life would not exist without animals, as we are dependent on them for numerous resources. Other than a source of food and materials like leather, animals also play an important role among other organisms to keep the planet going. However, wildlife all over the world is diminishing rapidly. This is also the case in Balochistan where widespread and uncontrolled hunting is taking a toll on wildlife populations. The birds of our province are one of the finest in the world and are an important part of our forests, and yet they are hunted mercilessly for sport. More so, our region saw a rise in locust population after the rains and people started preparing meals out of them! Animals and insects should be allowed to live their short life freely, but we humans will not let them! I urge the government to save these innocent souls from the never-ending greed of humans. I hope the Prime Minister will implement laws to protect our wildlife.
