70 school heads issued notices

FAISALABAD: The District Education Authority’s CEO has issued show-cause notices to the heads of 75 schools in Faisalabad for their poor performance. A spokesman for the education department said on Monday that the district monitoring office prepared a monitoring report and submitted it to the Education CEO. In the report, it was stated that sanitation and security were in a poor state and the attendance figures of teachers were least satisfactory. This situation persisted in as many as 75 high and higher secondary schools of Faisalabad district.  The Education CEO issued show cause notices to the heads of these 75 schools and ordered them to submit a reply at the earliest. He added further action would be taken under the PEEDA Act after the replies are received. Responding to a question, he said that the attendance of teachers and students was not up to the mark at government girls high schools of Chak No 68-RB, Chak No 426-GB, Chak No 514-GB, Jhumra, Hajji Abad, Chak No 247-GB, Garh Fateh Shah and Azafi Abadi No 2. Meanwhile, attendance, security and sanitary conditions were poor at government boys high schools of Chak No.247-RB, Chak No 653-GB, Chak No 383-GB, Sammundri, Tandlianwala, Sheikh Colony and Chak No 644-GB. He further said that if the school heads did not submit a satisfactory reply, they would have to face disciplinary actions.
