Police have arrested a man involved in a social media scam and recovered Rs6.4 million in cash and Rs4 million in cheques from the suspect police stated in a press release
A woman in Hayatabad registered a complaint with police station Hayatabad stating that a man who declared himself as a senior official of the Peshawar Development Authority duping her that he would sell a government nursery to her at a lesser price.
He contacted me for the business proposal and coaxed me to buy the Fairy Meadow nursery owned by PDA, for which I paid 11 million rupees against the proposed project, but it turned to be a social media scam, the women stated in the FIR.

SP cantonment had taken notice of the scam and formed an investigative team comprising ASP Hayatabad Najam ul Hasnain, and SHO Kamran who after forensic investigation arrested Ikram Shah resident f Mardan, who accepted the charges leveled against him.
Police in the raid recovered Rs10.4 million from the suspect and registered FIR against the accused and shifted him to Jail for further investigation.
