Cannes 2019: Deepika, Kangana and Priyanka's hits and misses

While Kangana slayed day four at the French Riviera, Priyanka failed to bring her A game

Cannes 2019 is in full swing and some celebrities are giving us swoon-worthy red carpet looks one after the other.

But while some outfits looked stunning, others simply missed the mark. Let’s take a look at what B-town beauties Deepika Padukone, Kangana Ranaut and Priyanka Chopra on day four of the gala.

Deepika Padukone

The Padmaavat star sported two looks on Friday. The first comprised of a flowy floral Erdem gown with a dark bow, neat up-do and minimal makeup. Padukone played it safe and dare we say, boring.

Verdict: Miss.

For her next red carpet look, Deepika opted for a frilly, neon green Giambattista Valli gown. She paired it with a silk headband and nude heels. And yes, you guessed it, it had another bow.

While this dress and its colour were certainly daring, we feel it was quite similar to her 2018 Cannes look, where she wore an elaborated hot pink Ashi Studio number.

Verdict: Hit

Priyanka Chopra

The former Miss World didn't bring her A-game to Cannes. While she was accompanied by her husband, singer Nick Jonas, she looked way too average for such an extravagant event. For her first outfit, Chopra wore a blue kaftan-like dress with a broad lace belt and a white hat. She kept her makeup and jewellery minimal.

Verdict: Miss

For her evening look, the Baywatch star went for a purple dress but to be honest, nothing about it was okay. The hair looked too basic, the dress itself was bordering on tacky and don't even get us started on those shoes.

Verdict: Miss

Kangana Ranaut

The Queen actor's looks for the day were far more impressive than the first two Bollywood divas'. Ranaut chose a white Toni Maticevski figure hugging gown with beautiful Chopard earrings and blue liner. Her hair was neatly tied in a bun. For us, the actor's classic yet simple look was a definite win.

Verdict: Hit

For her second red carpet look, the Simran star chose a heavily embellished pastel number by Michael Cinco. With some statement jewels and a braided hairdo, Ranaut strutted the red carpet looking flawless.
