LAHORE: The Punjab government has decided to strictly monitor development schemes including the Dera Ghazi Khan Development Package. Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has given the responsibility of this task to the CM’s inspection team. According to the chief minister’s instructions, inspection teams will submit a weekly report for further steps. The chief minister has said that no compromise will be made on the quality of development schemes of public importance. Inspection teams have been given the responsibility of monitoring the use of public funds, the CM said. Public money will be spent on the public’s welfare and no one will be allowed to waste national resources, he maintained. Proper utilisation of funds will be ensured, said the chief minister, adding that he will personally monitor progress on the Dera Ghazi Khan Development Package and other welfare schemes in the province.
