Abbottabad raid commission to hold first meeting, July 5

ISLAMABAD:
The first meeting of the judicial commission probing into the Abbottabad raid has been called on July 5.

The decision was made after a meeting between Secretary Commission Nargis Sethi and Justice Javed Iqbal who is heading the judicial commission.

They discussed the procedure to be adopted for the Abbotabad commission in detail and also agreed upon calling its maiden session on July 5 at 3:00 pm in Islamabad.

Earlier this month, after weeks of bitter controversies, Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani had formed two judicial commissions mandated to investigate how Osama bin Laden managed to live undetected in Pakistan and the inability of the armed forces to intercept the surgical strike conducted by US commandos to kill him and to investigate the murder of journalist Saleem Shahzad.
