Muslim solidarity

The Muslim nations should stand in solidarity with one anothe

KARACHI: As the auspicious month of Ramazan started, I opened my notebook to pen down the countless blessings I felt this month brought, when a loud bombing sound came from the TV. The news was telecasting the first day of Ramazan in Gaza. The footage showed people breaking their fasts with a handful of dates, while sitting next to the rubble of their houses that were destroyed by the Israeli forces. The scenario was enough to send shivers down my spine. Half of the Muslim world is busy celebrating the Holy Month by fasting and spending most of their earnings in buying clothes and other luxuries, while the other half is embroiled in warfare. The Muslim nations should stand in solidarity with one another and support one another financially as well as emotionally, so that we may stand strong against occupiers like Israel.
