
He was speaking at the launching of K-P Virtual Platforms (KPVP): Strengthening Human Rights Reporting, Monitoring and Implementation in the Province on Tuesday in Peshawar.
Thomas Kolly appreciated and expressed pleasure over the initiatives and steps taken by K-P Law Department for protecting human rights.
K-P Human Rights Minister Sultan Muhammad Khan inaugurating KPVP said protection, promotion and enforcement of human rights of vulnerable segments of society is the top priority of the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Besides Swiss Ambassador Kolly, K-P Law Secretary Zakaullah Khattak and representative of UNDP attended the event.
Sultan said that PM Imran Khan had instructed to ensure the protection, promotion and enforcement of human rights generally and of vulnerable group of society particularly.
The minister said that tabling Domestic Violence Bill, establishing Directorate of Human Rights and now upgrading to Directorate General of Human Rights, digital data collection system regarding human rights were the initiatives of the K-P government.
