Four policemen martyred in Quetta IED attack
Condemning the recent wave of terrorism in Balochistan, Zardari expressed solidarity with the families of the victims who were martyred in two recent terrorist attacks in the province.
“Terrorism in Balochistan is disturbing. The killing of innocent people is a barbaric act,” he stressed.
At least four police officials were martyred and 12 people were wounded on May 13 in an explosion near a market in Quetta’s Satellite Town.
The explosion was carried out through an improvised explosive device planted in a motorcycle parked on the roadside near a mosque, police said. A police vehicle, stationed outside the mosque, was also damaged in the blast.
This was the second major terrorist attack in Balochistan after a luxury hotel in Gwadar came under attack on May 11. At least five people were martyred in the attack.

Zardari criticised the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government for unrest in the insurgency-hit province.
“It is the responsibility of the state to ensure the security of its people but unfortunately, the government was more focused on politics of revenge.”
