KARACHI:
Responding to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MPA Haleem Adil Sheikh's recent statements, Adviser to Sindh Chief Minister on Information, Law and Anti-corruption Barrister Murtaza Wahab said that the PTI was promoting politics of lies. He accused Sheikh of attempting to conceal the failures of the federal government by repeating 'fabricated corruption stories'.

Wahab, who is also the spokesperson of the Sindh government, said that the provincial health department along with the government had taken measures to address the HIV outbreak in Larkana. He added that Sheikh should avoid politicking on the issue as it is a humanitarian one.

Taking selfies with patients would not do the patients any favours since radical measures are needed, said the adviser, adding that Sheikh should ask the Centre to assist the Sindh government in this regard.

Time has come for Imran to admit his failures: Wahab

According to Wahab, the health department has initiated action against quacks and illegal blood banks in the province.

Taking another jibe at Sheikh, the adviser added that there was a difference between taking photos for self-promotion on social media and taking concrete measures.
