KARACHI: A girl was kidnapped from Khayaban-e-Sehar, Defence Housing Authority, on Saturday night. As yet, no case has been registered against the suspects, however, the police have started an investigation based on the data from the victim's mobile phone and CCTV footage.

Video of the kidnapping which surfaced yesterday shows that the girl, 20-year old B*, was seated inside a black car waiting for the gate of the bungalow to open in Phase V, when four men in a Toyota Corolla forced her out of her car and using weapons, coerced the resisting girl to get inside their car after which they fled the scene.

The police have not registered a case even after the lapse of several hours. According to Darakshan SHO Imran Zaidi, the family of the kidnapped girl has not contacted the police yet. He added that preliminary investigation based on mobile phone data and CCTV footage has not yielded any results. The girl had gone out late Saturday night. She was kidnapped from outside her home as she waited for her driver to open the gate and let the car in.
