Power outages

Letter May 13, 2019
The electricity shortage is also affecting water supply

TURBAT: The residents of Singanisar (a locality in Turbat) have been facing the problem of electricity cuts for long. During the winters, we experience eight hours of power outage every day, which increases to 10 hours in the beginning of summers. Now that the summer temperatures are soaring to unbearable highs, the duration of power outages has been increasing. Sometimes we do not have electricity for the whole day. The electricity shortage is also affecting water supply. So we are facing both power and water shortages. I urge the government to provide relief to us in the hot summer months by reducing power cuts.
