HARIPUR:
A teenage boy was slaughtered to death in broad daylight in the jurisdiction of Saddar police station here on Sunday. The motive behind the murder could not be ascertained. Police quoted Haider Zaman of village Bagra No 2 as saying that his son Imran Khan, 16, was on the way to the nearby field when Musa Khan, an Afghan refugee, intercepted him and got into an altercation with him over unknown reasons. During the scuffle he slit his jugular vein with a knife, injuring him seriously. Imran was taken to Women and Children Hospital but bled out before he could receive any medical care. The complainant told that Imran and Musa had also gotten into a heated exchange on the previous day. The accused has managed to evade arrest thus far.
