Punjab govt for action against latecomers in Ramazan

Detailed report will be presented on the matter to the government

RAWALPINDI: The Punjab government has ordered strict action against latecomers during Ramazan.

In this regard, the SSP Special Branch Rawalpindi has been directed to monitor the entry and exit timings of all officials in related departments.

Sources revealed that a number of complaints lodged on the Prime Minister’s Citizen Portal related to the tardiness of officials.
In this regard, the monitoring process has begun in commissioner, deputy commissioner, RPO, CPO, RTO, RTA secretary and ETO offices.

The SSP of special branch initiated the process at 9:45 am yesterday after which it was confirmed that not a single official had marked their presence at their respective offices.

The late comings not only affect the public but also disrupt operations in the offices.

Sources disclosed that the SSP Special Branch has started to monitor timings in his own office and a detailed report in this regard will be presented on the matter to the government.

The report will highlight differences in entry timings of high officials and the lower staff. Action is expected to be taken against late coming officials after report submission.
