QUETTA: Accusing the Balochistan government of diverting funds from their elected members, the Balochistan National Party (BNP) minority wing held a protest outside the press club.

The provincial government had approved Rs2.5 million in financial support for the community on the eve of Christmas, the protesters said, while claiming that the funds were diverted to Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Dinesh Kumar.

Comprising members of the Christian community, the protesters said that they were not against any particular faith but were seeking the fulfillment of their legitimate rights.

Along with the provision of funds, the protesters also highlighted the water supply issue in Christian community areas. The protesters added that they would hold protests across the province unless the government complies with their demand.
