#CockroachChallenge takes the internet by storm

Unusual online challenges have been around for a while and there is nothing new about a vast number of people taking them on. This new one has to be by far a disgusting one by many standards.

Alex Aung started a new Facebook trending challenge, #CockroachChallenge on April 20 when he posted a selfie of himself with a cockroach on his face. The caption that went with it was “New Challenge. Can you do this?”


So far this challenge of his has received more than 450 comments and more than 18,000 reshares as it continues.

Previously, challenges such as Kiki challenge, Blue whale challenge, and invisible challenge have taken the social media by a storm.

While many have been disgusted by the challenge, there are many who have also hopped on this bandwagon and shared their selfies with a cockroach resting on their face.

Gen Z kids are keeping cockroaches on their faces for a selfie. It's called, drum-roll, #cockroachchallenge.
