‘Modernising curriculum among our top goals’
Education Minister says efforts were being made to make curriculum compatible with the modern education

Punjab Education Minister Dr Murad Raas has said efforts were being made to make schools’ curriculum compatible with the modern education for long-term benefits.
He expressed these views during a meeting with acting president of Lahore Chamber of Commerce Khuwaja Shehzad Nasir and Vice President Fahimur Rehman Sehgal. The minister said a software would be introduced to monitor the performance of teachers. “This will help improve standard of education. Concrete measures are being taken to modernise all public schools,” he said. The minister also emphasised the private sector to start adopting the government schools.
Speaking on the occasion, Shehzad said the economic and social development of any country depended on the education of its youth. “If we want to be among the developed countries, we will have to understand the importance of education in national development,” he said.
